Junior Economic Club of Seattle
Building a Generation of Effective Leaders
The Junior Economic Club brings together the best and brightest high school students in Seattle to an unparalleled ecosystem of discussion, exposure, and leadership. We invest in Seattle’s future by allowing students to understand and solve real-world economic problems in both the public and private sectors.
By giving these students a head start, we are nurturing more effective, experienced, and responsible leaders, thereby guaranteeing Seattle’s prosperous future for generations to come.
Our Story
The Junior Economic Club of Seattle was founded in 2023 by Renée Larbi, a senior at Redmond High School, Megan Hu, a junior at Interlake High School, Madhumitra Kethini, a junior at Sammamish High School, and a group of other bright, like-minded students. Throughout their high school journeys, they each observed the ever increasing need for an organization that instilled a leader’s mindset into the students of Washington. With Seattle being a staple of innovation and entrepreneurial initiative in the United States, the students knew that founding the Junior Economic Club of Seattle would be the perfect opportunity to motivate it’s future leaders.
The Junior Economic Club of Seattle aims to make an investment in the city’s future. Members, mentors, and sponsors will cultivate a generation of effective business leaders through economic and financial literacy.
